June Week Three: Admiration

Sunday:

I got up in the morning with Lyra and we started to make crepes while we waited for Lucy to wake up. When she woke up she helped me mix everything and make the crepes. Bryton had his reserves weekend so he already had left. Once Nana woke up we ate some breakfast.

Then we got ready for Lyra’s birthday. Nana played with the girls while I cleaned the house and set up the decorations. Nana also helped me set up the food. Just as I got everything finished up, people started showing up. Perfect timing. I was so excited.

Everything was pond themed, I had frogs, lilly pads, and flowers all over the house. Lyra loved the cake as did Lucy, who helped her smash it up. Then Lucy helped Lyra open her presents. Lyra got these super cute crocheted chickens with some baby chicks, once she opened it she was only interested in playing with them so Lucy stepped in to help her open the gifts.

One of the gifts was 100 plastic balls and tunnel to put them in, the kids asked if they could set it up and I said yes. It is a kids party so why not. It made a huge mess, but holy cow the kids had a blast. They also went outside and played in the sprinker. We had so much fun.

People did start to filter out, around then around 4 everyone had left and the two girls were just playing. Around 6 the girls went to bed, they were so tired from playing so hard all day.

I admire the little lady that Lyra has grown into be. She is such a funny, determined, vocal, snuggly, and strong young lady. I am so happy she is mine. I thank the Lord everyday for her and the light she brings to us.

Monday:

Oh what a day, We had Will again. It was a normal Monday morning for the most part. We all made breakfast together and. Around 10 Lyra took a nap with Nana. Lyra, Will, and I went to the library. When we were leaving Lura very quickly got her hand on the elevator and slide it with the elevator into the door. She was crying and I was trying to get her hand out of the wall where the elevator was going into.

Someone had to come push the door into the wall so we could get her hand out. Thankfully I was on my way to a Dr. appt for me but my Dr. is also Lucy’s pediatrician. So once we got her hand out of the elevator door we rushed over to the appt. Monday was such a roller coaster.

Lucy’s fingers were only bruised not broken and Lucy was fine once she got some fruit snacks. At the appt I also found out that I was pregnant but had miscarried. It was a lot to swallow.

Finding out that we were going to have a baby and lost them at the same time. I had bled very heavily the week before and I had assumed it was my period but it was not.

Bryton was able to come home and help me with the kids, we ordered taco bell for dinner and took the rest of the day to just relax.

Tuesday:

We had William again today, Bryton also had got today off. We took most things slow, and tried to relax. We went to the splash pad with some friends and let the girls get some energy out.

We left Will with his mother during the splash pad so he did not have to sit out in the sun while the girls played. After that we went home and had some lunch.

Bryton and I had to wrap around the fact we gained and lost an angel. I decided to count the day I started bleeding as the birthday, we also decided on the name June. They were conceived and lost in June so that is where we thought of the name. I want to be able to go to heaven and tell June, we celebrated you birthday and we love you just as much. Though they were with us for a short time the impact they left was huge.

Wednesday:

Bryton went hiking to help get his mind clear, and the girls and I spent most of the time outside playing in the water. I also did some laundry. I do my best thinking when I clean, there is something so therapeutic to clean. I did get a call that a court hearing I needed to go in person instead, and observe a supervised visits. So I called the girls Aunt and asked if they could spend the night.

The could go so I packed them up

I love being able to focus on things like the house, it is something I love about being a homemaker. I can think through things while helping our house become more of a home.

Thursday:

Bryton had to go back to work and I had little Will again. After I finsihed a load of laundry Will and I go into the car and got the girls from their Aunt’s. We came back into town and headed toward the library, they had a exhibit on dinosaurs for their summer reading program.

We went to it and had a ton of fun, Lucy got an egg she had so chip away and discover which dinosaur was in the egg. Once the program was done, we all headed home. Lucy opened up her egg outside and Lyra played in the water. Will took a good nap and we just enjoyed the weather and time together.

Friday:

Once again we had Will, I wore him while we made breakfast. We made Dutch babies and enjoyed our morning together. When breakfast was done we went outside to play. I rocked Will while I read a book and watched the girls play. It was a simple day and we did not do much more than play, eat, and read together.

Saturday:

While making breakfast with the girls my old boss invited us over to play in their pool. So after we picked up the house for a bit we headed up to their home. Her grandson is one of Lucy’s bestfriends and they played and played so well. After lunch up there we went home so we could get the girls to bed.

Bryton’s Nana was having a yard sale and we helped her with some of that. We had a simple dinner and then Bryton and I took the girls on a walk. Then the girls conked out. They were so tired, they both went straight to sleep. It was a wonderful day.

I have such admiration for the Lord and all that He has given me.
